We're innovating the wrong meetings
A lot of innovation in meetings focuses on innovation meetings.
Most of the meetings people actually spend their working life in are much more mundane.
For sure, having ideas is a part of many meetings.
But it’s not innovation meetings that are eating time and locking your talented people into video calls.
It’s regular meetings that are a blurry, mash up of:
- Catching up on people and progress
- Working out how things are going
- Deciding what to do next
- Solving mini-problems along the way
- Trying to knit together different people and teams' work so it makes a cohesive whole
THIS is where we need innovation. And that’s what I’m working on.
